About Me

Hi, I'm Christina, the designer and maker behind Kindred Makes.

Three years ago, I swapped my former life as a teacher for a new adventure in Scotland. Now living in beautiful Aberdeenshire, I'm constantly inspired by the landscapes, wildlife and characters that surround me and make me smile every day.

Creativity has always been part of who I am, and my move has allowed me to fully immerse myself in developing and embracing this.

As a former primary teacher, I have a particular love for traditional toys and colourful artwork found in children's books. That influence can often be seen in my work, which tends to be playful, simple and full of character. I've never quite grown up—and I think that's reflected in my work. I believe creativity, curiosity and playfulness don't have an age limit, and I hope my designs bring a little of that joy into your day.
